Wouldn't be great if there was a sweet, tangy, savory, flavorful BBQ sauce that would be great on a wide variety of food? And wouldn't it be great if you could adjust the heat and seasoning for your specific taste?
The BBQ sauce recipe that answers both of these questions is right here and, to top it off, it's a cinch to make!
2c. ketchup
1/4c cider vinegar
1/2c brown sugar
1tbs Worcestershire sauce
1tsp granulated garlic
1tsp liquid smoke
1tsp granulated onion
1tbs mustard
1/2tsp cayenne pepper
1/2c strong coffee
Combine all ingredients EXCEPT coffee in medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring at first, then lid. (CAUTION: Sauces ban bubble and spray everywhere, so be sure to put a lid on it!). Simmer for 10-15 minutes. Turn off the heat and allow simmering to subside before adding coffee. Stir coffee into the sauce and allow to come to room temperature.
This is a killer sauce for pulled pork, smoked brisket, or burgers. It also elevates pizza, eggs, or grilled chicken.
