The energy we expend in making every decision during our day leads to decision fatigue. Our decisions become less accurate because our brain has a limited energy supply. In addition, in our fast-paced, connected lives, our brain energy is sapped at an alarming rate.
What can we do? Batch.
Batching decisions simply means making several of the same decision at once to save energy. Take ten minutes on a Sunday and plan meals for the week. Open your closet and put together outfits for each day. Every decision you can make in advance is one less thing for your brain (and schedule) to support later.
Within the first week, you'll begin to see the time and energy saving benefits and start looking for other ways to practice the technique.
Happy batching!
